Chicken Boy by

I really liked Chicken Boy because it was very emotional. It started out funny but then got sad, then at the end, the book was happy. I also learned a lot about chikens!
Code Talker: A Novel About the Navajo Marines of World War Two by Mark L.
Code Talker was one of the best books I have ever read. It is about the Navaho Code Talkers and what they did during World War II. It was exciting from start to finish. It was very touching to read about their experiences during that hard time. I think that most people would really like this book.
Crooked River by
Sophia R.
I read Crooked River for another Rebecca Caudill nominee. It was a wonderful story! My favorite part is when Reb first meets Mr. Kelly, a friend of Amik, or Indian John, and tells Reb and her sister Lisa that he is going to try to be Indian John's lawyer! It was really scary at some parts, but that's what made the story so great! And the way that the author told it made it seam like it was really by an Ohio settler! It was one of the best stories I've ever read!
Drums, Girls, & Dangerous Pie by Aidan
Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie was a great book because the author expressed the characters feelings, and there was a lot of detail. Also the author used actual places and actual periods of time. If you like dramatic books, this is the book fo you!
Drums, Girls, & Dangerous Pie by Michaela M.
The book I read was Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. It was one of the best books I ever read. It was about a boy named Steven. He's having trouble in school and he's playing drums in the school band. One day his brother Jeffrey gets really sick. This story is so great, it made me feel like I was one of the characters. Read this book if you like happy endings and realistic fiction, and trust me, you will really love it!
Drums, Girls, & Dangerous Pie by Jenna L.
I enjoyed Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. I would reccomend this book to kids who are intrested in reading about what other kids' families could be going through. In Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie a Junior High aged boy's little brother gets cancer. Once everyone finds out, his friends, school mates, and teachers start to treat him differently. He gets through this tough time by playing the drums. I think most kids would enjoy this book.

When she finds out that the visitor is the white bear in the form of a man, the evil Troll Queen captures the white bear! Rose must go on an adventure to save the white bear. Will she succeed? Read East to find out!

My favorite book on the Caudill list so far is East. My favorite part is when Rose goes to the troll queen's castle. This book is so good I couldn't stop reading it! This book is long but good. If you like adventures this is a book for you! East has a surprising story line.
East by Michaela M.
I really like East by Edith Pattou. My favorite part was when Rose discovers the castle and looks through it. Also, I was scared when the polar bear takes her away from her home. East was a really good book, especially if you like adventure and medieval times. You should really read East!
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Danny D.
I read The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. It had a lot of adventure. It was about a china doll named Edward who is owned by Abilene. Abilene is moving and is going on a boat. Edward falls into the ocean and the adventure begins!
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by
Marisa R.
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is a good book for these reasons: It is very exciting. It is kind of scary because Edward falls into the sea. Sometimes it is also sad. It is neat the way Edward passes from owner to owner. To find out the rest of Edward's story, you have to read the book.
The Misadventures of Maude March, or, Trouble Rides a Fast Horse by Claudia L.
The Misadventures of Maude March and Trouble Rides a Fast Horse was a wonderful book. It takes place in the wild west with cowboys and bandits.
The Misadventures of Maude March, or, Trouble Rides a Fast Horse by Michaela M.
I read the book The Misadventures of Maude March or Trouble Rides a Fast Horse and really enjoyed it. It was a western tale about a girl named Sally and her older sister Maude. Their aunt dies, and they have only one living relative, but he lives far away. That is where the adventure begins. You should read this book and find out what happens! I love this book!
MVP*: *Magellan Voyage Project by
Annika P.
I read the book MVP*: *Magellan Voyage Project . I think it is the best book in the world! Adam Story goes on a challenge to go around the world in forty days for a big reward. At points, I found myself breathing hard because I felt as if I was in the story. If you want to know where he goes, and if he wins, then you should read the book.

The Old Willis Place: A Ghost Story by
Sophia R.
The Old Willis Place was one of my favorite Rebecca Caudill nominees. My favorite parts were when they would talk about how they read 'Lassie'. It seemed so sad and it really made the book alot nicer to read. And when they finally made friends with Lissa, I actually cried. Also, reading Lissa's diary was so... helpful. It made you understand Lissa more. That's why The Old Willis Place was one of my favorite Rebecca Caudill nominees.
The Ruins of Gorlan by
Sophia R.
I read The Ruins Of Gorlan for one of the Rebecca Caudill nominees. It was heart punding! When Will was climbing up the castle wall to read the letter, I literally held my breath. I was scared that the Ranger was going to find Will and tell everyone what Will had done and he would not be able to be an apprentice. I was also scared that the Kalkara were going to find Will before he found them. That is why I thought that The Ruins Of Gorlan was a heart pounding book.
Shakespeare's Secret by
Joey T.
I think Shakespeare's Secret is great! It has so many mysteries in it. I like the part about the diamond. I would really want to be a part of the story. The characters are so awesome! The weird, but cool part is that it takes place in one town.
