I know already submitted a review, but that was before I read East.  East is a fantastic book a that is the book I hope will win the award.

I really liked the book East. It was a long book but it had a great story line.

The Misadventures of Maude March, or, Trouble Rides a Fast Horse by McKenzie H.
The best book in 2008 was definately Maude March. It was full of adventure and seat grpping experiances, thrown together with a hint of the Old West. The characters were very well devolped, and the ending left you begging for more. I can't wait to read next year's nominees!

Shakespeare's Secret by Kira
Shakespeare 's Secret is one of the best books I have read on the Caudill nominees this year with The Penderwicks and Listening for Lions.  Those books are worth the award.
